COVID-19 Press Release
Redwood Quality Management Company (RQMC) and our subcontractors are committed to supporting our communities most vulnerable populations and continue to monitor the rapidly evolving situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Through the direction of our Mendocino County leadership and the Department of Health Care services we are expanding the use of Telehealth services allowing clients to receive services remotely reducing interruption and supporting community health precautions. We are working together to maximize the workforce to continue with essential Specialty Mental Health Services provided throughout our community.
Redwood Community Crisis services will continue to perform 5150 mental health assessments and is prepared for an increase in the number of people experiencing mental health crisis during this stressful time. Crisis services are making every attempt to limit the use of Emergency Departments by seeing people in need in the field, at their facilities and utilizing Telehealth services.
Medication Management services will continue as normal. We are working with our subcontractor and community partners to create opportunities for beneficiaries to be seen by a Psychiatrist via Telehealth or phone.
Most subcontractor offices will be open on a case by case basis and are following social distancing guidelines and increased sanitation practices in all their offices. Anyone who enters an office will be screened for COVID-19 symptoms. We ask that anyone exhibiting symptoms please call your provider before attending any appointment.
While some services that beneficiaries have accessed in the past may look different, we are working diligently to provide services and supports that our community needs.
We are all in this together, and only together can we take care of our community, and the people we so very much love.
